Held in the stunning surroundings of Goodwood House near Chichester, from F1 racing cars and luxury supercars to classics, it’s a ‘must do’ turbo-charged feast for devoted petrol heads.

But there’s also much more to the four-day event, whether it’s exhilarating, amazing motorcycle and BMX stunts, getting ‘hands on’ with incredible technology, riding in a helicopter or spotting some very famous faces.

Among the event’s Hollywood fans are A-list celebrities Tom Cruise, Sandra Bullock and ‘Speed’ star Keanu Reeves.

“It’s like motoring heaven here,” he said during one visit. “Motorbikes, cars, helicopters and planes, and to hear them start..!”

Indeed, Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, is a sensory spectacle, with the roar of the engines, the sight of some of the world’s most jaw-dropping supercars and the thrill of action-packed racing making it a packed celebration of all things motoring.

Lights out, away we go!

This year’s festival, between July 13 and 16, is particularly special: 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the start of motorsport at the venue and the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

To mark the centenary, there’ll be classic Le Mans racing cars, iconic brand names from then and now, and famous faces associated with one of the world’s best-known motor races.

While for today’s F1 fans, there are unique opportunities to get up and close to the incredible ‘Drive to Survive’ machines at the F1 Pit Lane presented by Sky.

There’s also the chance to meet – and grab a selfie – with legends of motorsport, rising stars and some of the great drivers of the past, present and future.

They put their skills to the test for the legendary and thrilling hillclimb, a 1.16 mile uphill dash that’s been at the centre of the festival since it began.

Thrilling too is watching the rally cars as they tackle the tight hairpin bends and exhilarating jumps of the Forest Rally Stage.

But it’s the chance to get close to stunning cars, drivers and see amazing stunts that make Goodwood Festival of Speed really special, whether at the Supercar Paddock, where the world’s most luxurious – and expensive – motors can be found, with world-renowned brands like Aston martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche.

The First Glance Paddock is where the latest vehicles are unveiled, and Electric Avenue is a showcase of the new generation of EVs.

It’s not all cars though: Future Lab explores groundbreaking technology, from jetpacks to flying cars and 3D printed food, while there are countless places to refuel with a bite to eat, drink and shop, with entertainment on right through the weekend.
