STABLER EYES TOP FOUR

LITTLEHAMPTON Football Club's six-game winning league run was ended by Shoreham on Tuesday night but Golds' boss Carl Stabler is still confident of a top-four finish.

Stabler said: "We are playing well, and although it was disappointing to lose in the last minute at Shoreham, we are still aiming for the top four.

"We are playing well enough to get up there. At 1-1, I gambled a bit by bringing on another forward, Alaska Kamara, as we wanted to get the win.

"I could have sat back and kept a point but we are just going to go for as many wins as we can between now and the end of the season. We're not going to lose anything by doing that. If we get beaten, we will get beaten."
