SET FOR CRICKET SUCCESS

WHAT A CLIMAX all-round for our four clubs in the Sussex Invitation League. Each is guaranteed success from the top down.

Quite apart from Findon's bid to make it four championships in a row, their 2nd XI have already sewn up their first division title to set down part one of a winning championship double achieved before only four times in 24 years '” by Findon themselves in 1989, 1996 and 1998 and Goring in 1986.

Goring themselves have a say in whether a fifth double comes about '” which would be the first under the new four-divisions-each format '” but on Saturday evening they were already celebrating the triumph of their 2nd XI winning Division 2.
