Despite a 49-0 hammering at promoted Darfordians on Saturday, ‘Boro remain in pole-position to beat the drop in London 3 South East ahead of their clash with Park House on April 11.

Wise’s side are on 34 points, five clear of Park, who occupy the third and final relegation place, with Gillingham between them on 32. They all have one game left to play next weekend with Gillingham at Bromley and Pulborough away at Park House.

Park would have to win convincingly to turn around the points difference as would Gillingham, without Pulborough taking a bonus point to see Wise’s side relegated.

He said: “We’re looking forward to an exciting finish on April 11.

“We are currently in the box seat and are undoubtedly favourites to stay up and potentially secure eighth position in the league.

“I believe that Park House would need a bonus point win and a clear 26-point margin of victory to overtake us.

“In short though, we’re working hard to ensure that we have a strong fit squad available to go to Park House and get the win.

“We’re not going to take any chances and we certainly won’t be relying on other results. The simple reality is, if we win the game, we secure eighth position in the league and our place in London 3 South East for next season which will be a great achievement for this club.”
