Ragwort test hopes for springtime

A multi-disciplinary research group at the University of Liverpool, headed by Dr Derek Knottenbelt is nearing completion of a blood test to detect ragwort poisoning.

Dr Knottenbelt has spearheaded the research over a number of years and is hopeful that the test will be up and running for next spring, able to detect whether a horse is ingesting any ragwort.
