Princess named as first patron of welfare charity

RETRAINING of Racehorses was founded in 2000 and this year announced that HRH Princess Haya has agreed to become Patron.

As British Horseracing's official charity for the welfare of horses which have retired from racing, it was a fitting choice.

Princess Haya has an in-depth knowledge and passion for thoroughbreds and horse racing, as does her husband, Sheikh Mohammed.

For full story of her appointment and Retraining of Racehorse, see Sussex Horse World, West Sussex Gazette October 14.
