Tip 1: The Horse’s Head Position
If the horse’s head is too high, this would probably determine his level of energy. If he is quite sharp, his head would go higher up, and if he is relaxed, his head would be lower, and he would be riding into the bridle.
Tip 2: How the Horse Interacts with Other Horses
If the horse ignores his pals around him, this is a good thing because it means he is focused on his job – which is ultimately winning the race.
Tip 3: The Horse’s Length of Stride
If the horse is loose and relaxed and he has got a long length of stride this would probably mean that he has got great fitness, flexibility and strength and would be a good tip for a winner.
Tip 4: The Horse’s Feet

Tip 5: Is the Horse Sweating?
I would stay clear of a horse that is sweating too much because that shows a lot of tension and anxiousness.
