NOW DOCTOR GORDON LEAVES SOUTHWICK

IT IS the end of an era at Southwick Football Club as president Doctor David Gordon has left the club. In a letter to The Herald he explained how sad he feels about the decline of the club he has been with since 1985.

When Dr Gordon first started at Southwick, they won the Combined Counties League in the 1984-85 season then enjoyed, without doubt, the most sucessful period in their history while in the Isthmian League. They were then managed by Alan Pook, who is now boss of Worthing.
