Director of Rugby Ian Davies was pleased with the performance: "It shows the importance of having a squad with viable alternatives for our many injury victims at present.
With Chris Yates sidelined with a back injury, hooker Simon Alcott still recuperating and big-game players such as Phil Williams being rested as a precaution for a groin strain, we would probably have been struggling in previous years.
"It shows a great commitment by all at Worthing RFC to mount a challenge for this League title. That is what we intend to do."
