Jodie Kidd reveals her love of polo

JODIE Kidd, associated both with the fashion world and polo, is frequently found at Hickstead show jumping events when she is not playing high goal polo or turning up at events like the Goodwood Revival meeting.

Jodie first went to Hickstead with her grandmother, who was one of Douglas Bunn's earliest supporters. Her father Johnny Kidd first rode there when he was 15 years old and Jodie was show jumping there when she was eight years old.

As a result, the family connections developed and the late Douglas Bunn became Jodie's godfather; while Jodie's mother is Chloe Bunn's godmother and her father is John Bunn's godfather.

"I was a junior show jumper along with Chloe Bunn and I was just about to purchase my first horse at the age of 15 when someone suggested I try modelling. I decided to give it a go so I could get some funds to purchase a 'nice Oakley horsebox'.

"I have not stopped riding since but the workload became so much that I in the end had to sell my horse. Yes it was sad '“ but I was doing very well in the fashion world and had no free time to give the attention to my horse and the sport."
