IRISH EYES SMILING ON FONTWELL FUND-RAISER

FONTWELL Park's popular annual Irish Race Day returns on Saturday, October 6

As well as seven jump races, there is a live performance from the popular Irish band The Saw Doctors.

The race meeting is a fund-raising fixture for Water Aid and is being promoted in association with Southern Water.

Water Aid is an international charity dedicated to improving water supplies and sanitation for some of the world's poorest people.

More than 250 guests will be attending a hospitality function organised by Southern Water and supported by its suppliers.

It will be hosted by journalist and broadcaster Simon Fanshawe and former national hunt jockey Richard Dunwoody.

More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the race day.

The gates open at midday and the first race is off at 2.25pm. The band will be on stage around 6.15pm. Admission starts from 15.
