Barbara Thomas: In my 65th year I want to raise funds for the Yellowmen, a local charity which supports the POKOT people of Kenya.

Hannah McGhin: My best friend is disabled so I’m running to raise money for and awareness of her condition.

Clare Maplesden: To raise as much as I can for St Michael’s Hospice and to run it twice on the same day.

Keith Cooper: Running for the hospice that looked after my dad in his final days from terminal cancer. Started running nine months ago and look at this also as a personal challenge.

Emma Moore: Every year I say I will do it, but this year I will actually do it!

Heather White: Having lost over eight stone in weight, I started running last year and could not run a minute without getting completely out of breath. I’ve worked hard over the year and it would be a huge personal achievement to finish.
