HARNESS TRIUMPHS CELEBRATED

THE South Downs Harness Club, which covers Sussex and Hampshire, was formed in 1978. Since then it has increased its membership to around 200.

It has become affiliated to both the British Driving Society and the British Horse Driving Trials Association. Events are held mainly in Hampshire and West Sussex. However, it has members from as far away as Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, Dorking, Newbury and Chiselhurst.

Club activities, held within a friendly atmosphere, include private driving, driving trials, social driving, training days, evening meetings (mainly in the winter) and a variety of social events.
