'Funny five minutes' cost Littlehampton
LITTLEHAMPTON boss Trevor Waller was pleased with his side's performance at Selsey on Tuesday and just blamed "a funny five minutes" for their defeat.
He said: "We were getting on top when we conceded goals in the 70th and 75th minutes. The first was just a tap-in at the far post and we just didn't clear a corner properly for their second."
At 2-0 down, Dan Swain, who impressed on the left-wing, saw his effort crash back into play off the underside of the play after excellent play by Portuguese debutant Jose Canires.
