Yates wants a response from their 2-1 defeat at champions Northampton and to put an end to their five-game losing run.

He said: “We’ll go in a positive frame of mind and we want to entertain the supporters.”

Gavin Tomlin is expected to be in contention for selection having recovered from a hamstring injury.

Yates said: “Gavin’s got a chance. His fitness will be assessed and he could come into the squad.”
