Five new teams join parks football league

THERE will be five more teams taking part in the Sussex Memorials East Sussex Football League next season.

The 2005-06 constitution was ratified at the league's AGM on Monday night and no less than 82 sides will be involved from September.

Five of the seven divisions will contain 12 teams and the other two divisions boast 11 sides in a more balanced line-up than last year.

One of the biggest changes sees the Premier Division go from eight to 12 teams, despite the promotion of last season's champions Little Common to the Sussex County League. No teams were relegated from the top flight and five sides were promoted from Division One.

Sussex Memorials East Sussex Football League constitution 2005-06 - Premier Division: AFC Peasmarsh, Bodiam, Eastbourne WMC, Hawkhurst United, Hollington United, Mountfield United, Peche Hill Select, Punnetts Town, Rock-a-Nore, Rye & Iden United II, St Leonards Social, Ticehurst.

Division One: Firehills Seniors, Heathfield Hotspurs, Hollington United II, Hooe Sports, Ninfield United, Ridge West Garage, Rye & Iden United III, Sandhurst, Sedlescombe, JC Tackleway, Wadhurst United II.

Division Two: Bexhill AAC, Burfield Tyres, Cranbrook Town, Crowhurst, Hastings Rangers, Hillcrest, Icklesham Casuals, Little Common II, Mayfield, Northiam, Old Hastonians, White Knight.

Division Three: Athletico, Beulah Baptists, Burwash, Castleham United, Catsfield, Herstmonceux, Little Common III, Magham Down, Pebsham Sibex, JC Tackleway II, Westfield III, Wittersham.

Division Four: Battle Rangers, Battle Baptists, Bodiam II, Hastings Rangers II, Hawkhurst United II, Northiam II, Old Centmodians, Punnetts Town II, Red Lion, St Helens, Travaux, Victoria Baptists.

Division Five: Benbow, Bexhill AAC II, Eastbourne Fishermen, Heathfield Hotspurs II, Icklesham Casuals II, Mountfield United II, Oceans XI, Robertsbridge United, Sandhurst II, Sedlescombe II, JC Tackleway III, Wadhurst United III.

Division Six: Beulah Baptists II, Cinque Ports, Hastings APF, Hastings Rangers III, Herstmonceux II, Magham Down II, Orington, Panako, Peche Hill Select II, Pelham Arms, White Knight II.
