English junior champions!

WORTHING Golf Club possesses the best set of juniors in the land '” and that's as official as it can get.

Their team won the English final of the Home Nations Junior Team Championship at Woburn's Marquess course and will now represent their country in the Home Nations Final at La Manga, Spain from January 5-12.

In successive final rounds, the southern softies from Worthing came through testing adverse conditions and weather to seize the title. They finished second to Rowlands Castle of Hampshire in the rain and gale-lashed semi-final at Merrist Wood, then at Woburn ouclassed the rest to win the crown on a course waterlogged by storms the previous day.
