Defeats for EP and Mullets

EAST PRESTON almost came from 3-0 down to draw at Pagham on Tuesday but ended up losing 3-2 in Division 1.

Individual errors gifted Pagham two goals just before half-time and one just after, but EP fought back with goals from Seb Keet (67mins) and James Rhodes (86mins).

Substitute Ryan Walton then missed an opening for an EP equaliser in the last minute.

EP manager Chris White said: "We had 75 per cent of the game and if it wasn't for the individual errors, we'd have got three points."

ARUNDEL missed several chances in their 2-0 defeat at Division 1 leaders Whitehawk on Tuesday.

Graham Martin slotted Hawks into a 15th-minute lead after Alex Duncan brilliantly stopped Stuart Garrod's header on the line.

Brothers Mike and Matt Huckett were denied equalisers by Whitehawk keeper Ross Standen before Chris Hibberd's angled drive on 65 minutes hit the bar.

Hibberd then clipped a post on 75 minutes before Hawks' Tom Pattenden headed the clincher on 80 minutes.
