Badminton greats poised to return

Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms will be at Helenswood Sports Centre on Sunday July 3 to deliver a Badminton Masterclass to Hastings Junior Badminton Club.

The 2004 Olympic silver medallists in the mixed doubles will cover the four main components needed to be a top badminton player, namely mental, technical, tactical and physical.

Under-11s will be first up from 9.30-11.30am, followed by under-13s from 12noon-2pm, and under-17s and adults from 3-5pm. The cost is children £25, adults £35, and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Robertson and Emms won gold at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games in 2006, and 2004 European Championships. They previously delivered a Badminton Masterclass in the town during August 2009.
