Badminton duo add to trophy haul

They clinched the gold medal with a tense 15-13 victory over the Middlesex pairing at Bracknell. The Bexhill High School partnership had previously emerged unscathed from four rounds of competition.

They also took part in the singles with William winning two out of three and Evan one out of three matches.

The boys, who are both aged 12, had earlier taken silver at each of the BAE (Badminton Association of England) National Tournaments held in Hertfordshire and Burgess Hill. William also won the boys singles and doubles at a local tournament at the Phillimore Hall.
