Away win thrills Short

ARUNDEL FC manager Vic Short was delighted with his players after they bounced back from Saturday's defeat with an impressive win at Three Bridges on Tuesday.

Short said: "It was a great team performance and an excellent response after Saturday."

Mullets' keeper Ben O'Connor was called upon to make an early save and two more stops during the first half but it was not all one-way traffic.

Kane Evans and Jason Wimbleton fired chances into the side-netting before left-wing back, James Bennett, who impressed in a position he had never played before, cleared a Bridges effort off the line to ensure it was scoreless at half-time.
