Xmas items at Cooden Beach Hotel
COODEN Beach may not be the first place one would think of to buy unusual Christmas gifts and decorations, but people in the know flocked to a Christmas Extravaganza held at Herbrand House last Friday, where Christmas items galore could be found.
There was something for everyone and, some of the items for sale included proprietor Valerie Tarry's stunning floral art, Christmas decorations, garlands, hand painted flower troughs and trays.
St Michaels Hospice had a stall with cards, calenders, Christmas paper and soaps; Golden Web had a beautiful display of some of their hand-made jewellery; outstanding watercolours from local artist John Abbey; beautiful soft silk scarves and 100% wool jumpers, gift boxes, china plates and cusions all at knock down prices kept eager shoppers happy.
Valerie is an avid supporter of St Micheals Hospice and is one of their volunteers she said she was "delighted" with the turn out and support from local people.
