Woman dies after being hit by car in Goring

An elderly woman has died from the injuries she sustained when she was hit by a car in Goring Road yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 22 December).

The 85-year-old woman, who was local, was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Astra saloon at the junction with George V Avenue just before 2pm.

She was airlifted by the Surrey charity air ambulance to King's College Hospital, South London, with serious head injuries' but later died.

The car driver, a 67-year-old local woman, was unhurt.
