Woman accused of theft
A 54-year-old woman has been charged with stealing nearly £20,000 from the Cross in Hand post office.
Jill Bayley, of High Street, Heathfield, pleaded not guilty to taking 19,874 while working as an employee at the post office between July 20, 2001 and May 23, 2002.
At Lewes Magistrates Court, on Wednesday, her case was committed to be heard at Lewes Crown Court on March 28.
