Owner Andy Blick, previously a salesman in the construction industry, fulfilled a long-standing ambition when he opened the restaurant, which is between Upper Beeding and Henfield, in July 2006.
"I enjoy cooking and can turn out a reasonable meal, though I'm not a chef, but when I came across these premises, which were run-down, I could see the potential.

Hide Ad"I had no hesitation in making a career switch to opening a restaurant, and I have a very talented chef in the kitchen," he said.
The restaurant simply buzzes with atmosphere and is full of satisfied customers, reflecting the high quality of food and outstanding value for money.
"I've made a point of charging less than you would expect for top-quality food. I simply don't see the sense in pricing meals too high," he said.
