There is a yellow warning for heavy rain from the Met Office which covers parts of Sussex.

The warning is in place until 9pm tonight (Saturday, December 31) and stretches across West Sussex.

The Met Office site says: “Heavy rain is expected to bring some surface water flooding and travel disruption.”

According to the Met Office, bus and train services may take longer than usual, driving conditions could be difficult due to spray and flooding on roads, and flooding in homes and businesses is likely.
