Yesterday evening (February 28), Wealden District Council tweeted: "Due to the persistently bad weather we’ve had to close #BirlingGap beach again this weekend until further notice. Take care out there."

A yellow weather warning has been put in place along the Sussex coast for wind this weekend as Storm Jorge arrives.
