The money will go to homeless charity Off The Fence and will support the charity’s Hygiene for All project, which aims to assist the homeless with their hygiene.

The water company is helping fund the charity’s hygiene van, mobile shower and laundry vans with the hope this will lead to a long-term project to support the homeless in the city for as long as it is needed.

Donna Williamson, Corporate Fundraiser for Off The Fence said: “Off The Fence is honoured to have Southern Water as a partner in our Hygiene for All project. Their support will have a profound impact on the homeless community in Brighton & Hove.”

As well as helping to fund the hygiene van, mobile shower and laundry vans, Southern Water employees will have the opportunity to volunteer and spend time in the vans, visiting different areas of Brighton and Hove, providing the homeless with access to immediate hygiene facilities. The charity helps homeless men, women and young people in Brighton and Hove.
