Vandals strike again in Wick

VANDALS went on the rampage at a Wick business, smashing 35 van and lorry windows with an axe.

Staff at Jenkins Vehicle Hire, in Arndale Road, arrived at work on Thursday morning to find that 17 vehicles had been attacked, causing more than 7,000 worth of damage.

Sgt Peter Allan, of Littlehampton police, said the vandalism had taken place between 6pm last Wednesday and 9am on Thursday, and that an axe had been found on the premises.

"We are interested to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the offence. We are also keen to eliminate from our enquiries the driver of a blue Ford Transit van, with a broken front number plate, which was seen in the area around the time."
