'Urban funky' fashion show for friends fashion

SIXTH FORM students of the Glyne Gap Faculty presented a fashion show with an 'Urban Funky' feeling to their parents and friends.

They designed and made items including hats, bags, skirts and trousers, and showed some of their favourite clothes. Many of the girls wore their ball gowns and the boys wore suits.

Sarah Hartman, a young fashion designer, worked with the students to prepare their clothes and encourage their design ideas. Sarah has worked for Zandra Rhodes and is much in demand to design for several of the big name high street shops.

The Glyne Gap students were assisted by students from other faculties within the college who organised the lighting, photography, music, make up and hairstyling.

The show was a great success raising 56 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and was the first co-operative event between the Glyne Gap students and others from within the college.

All students involved thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are already wondering what they can do next.
