UPDATE: Two injured in crash near Hurstpierpoint

Two drivers were injured in a crash on a major road outside Hurstpierpoint this afternoon (Thursday March 10).

Police said two cars, a Rover and a Peugeot, collided on the B2116 Albourne Road, west of the village, at around 12.45pm.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene.

No-one was trapped and both drivers sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed while the scene was cleared of debris and spilt fuel, officers added.
