UPDATE: ‘Power back on’ in Chichester and Bognor

Southern Electric has tweeted: “UPDATE #Chichester #WestSussex - All supplies have now been restored.

“Thank you for your patience this afternoon.”

Around 2,500 homes were affected in areas including Chichester, Bosham, Fishbourne, Selsey and Westergate.

The Westgate Leisure Centre in Chichester was said to have closed after experiencing a power cut.

Residents on Oliver Whitby Road also reported experiencing problems.
