Wildlife partnership The Deer Initiative for England and Wales has identified Horsham district roads as deer accident hotspots.

Motorists should take care on Forest Road towards Pease Pottage, A24 roundabouts and other main roads including the A23 and A272, says the partnership.

The Deer Initiative estimates there could be between 40,000 to 70,000 deer-related collisions across the country, including several human fatalities, each year.
