Update:A281 closed in Alfold area to remove hay bales and vehicle

The A281 has now been re-opened to traffic in the Alfold area after 50 hay bales fell from a vehicle this morning (Wednesaday July 5).

The road was shut straight after the incident which happened around 8.30am but one lane was opened to allow some flow of traffic.

However, the road ws closed again at 11am while the bales and vehicle were cleared.
