UPDATE: Fifty hay bales blocks main road

The main road was closed in both directions between Loxwood Road junction in Alfold Crossways and the A29 in Rowhook this morning (August 5).

However, traffic is now taking it in turns to pass the accident via one lane that has been opened.

The road is likely to be closed again, though, when recovery work takes place later and the scene is cleared.

Drivers are advised to stay clear of the area.
