A27 Chichester Bypass reopens following gas leak

Emergency services and engineers for gas distribution company SGN were called to between the Bognor Road roundabout and the Oving Crossroads.

The leak is believed to have come from third-party damage at a nearby housing development.

Bradley Barlow, spokesperson for gas distribution company SGN. said: "We've completed our complex repair along the A27 Chichester bypass and the road was fully reopened in early hours of this morning.

"We'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we completed our work."
