Ten crews fight Ford blaze

TEN fire crews spent three hours fighting a blaze at Ford's recycling centre.

They were called to the centre, Ford Road, at 12.40pm yesterday (Friday, May 27), where a two-storey building was in flames.

About 30sq m of recycling and equipment wee damaged by heat and smoke, and the building itself suffered slight smoke damage.

About 75l of foam were used.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fore and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
