Teachers to go on strike over pay offer

WEST Sussex teachers will be taking part in one-day strike action on April 24 in response to the Government's pay offer of 2.45 per cent.

"In real terms, teachers' pay has been eroded by lower-than-inflation pay increases every year since 2005. Now the Government seeks to impose further cuts in the living standards of teachers and their families.
