She has been a pupil of Rustington dance teacher Sally Parkinson since the age of five and will be appearing in Giselle with 100 young talented dancers from the south and seven professional dancers who have been working with them in rehearsal classes since the beginning of last month.

Mum, Lynne, dad Aslam and sister Soraya, 16, will be watching proudly as Tasha takes part in a ballet boasting spectacular dancing, sumptuous costumes and pretty scenery.

Lynne said: "Tasha loves her dancing. This was her first audition for the English Youth Ballet and she is quite excited about it. We are all looking forward to seeing her dance."

Performances of Giselle are on Friday at 7.30pm and Saturday, 2.30 and 7.30pm Box office: 02392 828282.
