Sue Ryder shop’s open garden
Sue Ryder held its second open garden of the summer, with linen for sale and a very popular bottle and tombola stall. The cake and tea stall was busy all the way through the day. The town cryer came to open the gates in all his regalia.
The mayor arrived to give out long service certificates for our volunteers. There were three five-year awards awarded to Janet Balcome, Caroline Askoul and Joy Carmate, a 10 yr award to Pat boniface and a very special award to Gabrielle Frietag who has spent 25 years volunteering with Sue Ryder.
