Soldiers visit hospital home on Remembrance Day
Soldiers from 12 Regiment, Royal Artillery, based at Thorney Island, arrived at The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH), before attending a ceremony at the War Memorial in Chapel Road.
The soldiers accompanied residents and representatives of QAHH, local dignitaries and local military associations, to the ceremony to honour those members of the armed forces who have been killed in conflict.

Following the ceremony, all returned to QAHH for refreshments and the planting of bulbs at the entrance to the home.
QAHH Armed Forces Liaison Officer, Jackie Bulmer, said: “Remembrance Day is an important day in order to remember those we have lost in conflict since the First World War. We are very grateful to Sgt Walker and his regiment for taking time to attend the ceremony with us, and to visit the residents of QAHH.”
