Sky's the limit for mum

WHILE most families will spend Father's Day enjoying a family meal or a day out, Seaford mum Hilary Urry, of Hythe Crescent, is going to jump from a plane.

But there is a special reason for Hilary's brave decision '“ she is raising money for the Children with Cancer Fund based at Polegate and for her son Jack's football team, the Seaford Wasps.

She will be parachuting in tandem at Headcorn, Kent, on June 17 and has paid the 235 jump fee herself. The jump is something Hilary, who is terrified of heights, wanted to do before she was 40 next year.

She chose the Polegate charity because she has a friend whose son had cancer. Luckily, he recovered but Hilary remembers the good work the charity did for him.

The Wasps will put the money towards new equipment. They train at Chyngton School and matches are played at Fort Road, Newhaven. They are looking to take on a couple of new teams in the new season ages eight to 11.
