Ski school for St Richard's

Forty-eight St. Richard's pupils accompanied by five members of staff enjoyed a week of ski-ing in Austria.

The group benefited from good snow conditions during a packed but exhilarating trip.

Each day consisted of five hours of ski lessons and the group experienced a range of evening activities including sledging, swimming, quiz nights and bowling. The pupils also had the chance to learn curling as the hotel where they were staying had its’ own curling rink. Additionally, the St. Richard’s group celebrated mass in the local cathedral where they experienced frozen holy water for the first time!

The ski instructors at the resort complemented the pupils on their positive approach throughout the week by saying that the St. Richard’s pupils “always give 100% and are polite and respectful.”

Trip leader, Peter Byrne, thanked the pupils for making it “an incredible week”.
