Luckily he was literally seconds away when this occurred and worked on the patient for 20 minutes, until help arrived.

A defibrillator was made available and three shocks later they managed to achieve a resuscitation before the emergency services arrived.

The patient was airlifted to Kings College where she has made a full recovery following the insertion of a Pacemaker/Internal defibrillator .

As a result of his actions Jamie has been given the chance to ride the London to Paris charity bike ride which is taking place between 19th and 23rd June covering a total on 500 kilometres over four days.

As well as cycling this great distance, Jamie will be providing paramedic cover during the ride, along with two other paramedics.

He is hoping to raise £1,000 in sponsorship for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

Wife Naomi said: “If anyone was able to sponsor him then that would be great. The easiest way to sponsor him is through his just giving page http://www.justgiving.com/Jamie-Clark5 .”
