Pupils have movie premier

TALENTED students from schools across East Sussex have attended a premier of their own feature film.

Pupils from King Offa Primary School were just some of the children who helped to create the movie 'Get Santa.'

The 'Gifted and Talented' film making initiative was organised by East Sussex County Council.

Over a hundred year six, seven, eight and nine pupils took part in the project at a special summer school with guidance from experienced film makers.

More than 600 people attended the premier at the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne.

Cllr Rupert Simmons, lead cabinet member for learning and school effectiveness, said: "This project has been a fantastic opportunity for the young people involved. We have a commitment as a county council to ensure we provide our gifted and talented pupils opportunities to enrich and extend their learning. As well as being a lot of fun it has promoted and encouraged independent creative thinking and excellent teamwork."
