Greenway, in the west of Horsham, has been plagued by the problem for several months.

The larger holes have already been patched, but residents have been informed today (Thursday October 13) that the road will be resurfaced.

The road is on a main bus route and also has traffic from the Greenway Academy, plus the Christian Life Centre (based at the school) on Sunday.

Back in July the County Times reported that work was set to be done during the October half-term.

However, residents in the area and District Councillor Christine Costin, who has long campaigned for action on the road, said at the time that they were disappointed the resurfacing wasn’t done during the summer holidays.

Signs have been put up warning drivers about the likely disruption.

Work is expected to start on Thursday October 27 and continue on the following day.

The working hours have been given as 7.30am to 6pm.

A letter delivered to Greenway residents says: “The works have been purposely planned at this time of year to take place during the school half-term holiday to minise disruption.

“Please plan your journey in advance as there will be traffic management in place for the duration of the works and might cause a delay to your journey.”
