Police linking three bike thefts in Littlehampton

POLICE are investigating whether a spate of vehicle thefts in Littlehampton this week are linked, the force announced today (Monday, September 15).

Since Friday (September 12) three motorbikes have been taken from the Littlehampton area.

At some point overnight between Friday and Saturday (September 13) a white and orange Pulse moped was taken from Phoenix Close, in Littlehampton and was later found in damaged and dumped in Church Road, Yapton.

Then, between 1.30pm and 4.40pm on Saturday, another moped was stolen from Stammer Road and recovered damaged in Cheal Way.

The most recent theft took place between Saturday and yesterday (Sunday, September 14).

A black Suzuki motorbike, registration plate WF07 YVA was stolen from Gratwicke Drive.

Police are still hunting for this bike.

PCSO Michelle Davies said: “We suspect they are linked and enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.”

Anyone with any information about any of the thefts are being urged to contact police on 101, quoting serials 1066 13/09/14, 0599 13/09/14 and 1347 14/09/14.
