Police imposebail conditionson youth, 14

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with threatening behaviour following an incident in Battle town centre back in the summer.

Police were called after a man was allegedly attacked in Market Square, Battle, on Monday, August 30.

The 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with a head wound, but discharged from the Conquest Hospital in Hastings the next day.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Hastings Youth Court on Friday, December 17.

He has been bailed by police on certain conditions, including that he must not enter Market Square, Battle, or the town’s cricket ground which is at George Meadow.

The teenager must also not drink or possess alcohol in a public place under his bail conditions.
