Phone box youths arrested

SIX teenagers were arrested after a phone box was damaged at Vale Road, Seaford, on Wednesday last week at about 4pm.

Police made the arrests at the scene and the teenagers, who were aged between 14 and 16, spent nine hours at the police station with their parents being interviewed.

The investigation is continuing.

Sgt David Kemp, of Seaford Police, said: 'There have been a number of incidents in the Cradle Hill area where wanton damage has been caused. We are investigating all of these incidents and are keeping an open mind as to who may be responsible.

'I appeal to parents to ensure they know where their children are and who they are with.

'The last thing any parent wishes to hear is the police at their door telling them their child has been arrested.'
