Platinum Champion joins Sussex Mayors Association luncheon

The Sussex Mayors Association is an organisation that's membership is created by current Mayors and Past Mayors across East and West Sussex incorporating the City of Brighton and Hove.

Often referred to as the "Chain Gang" the organisation consisting of Mayors and Past Mayors, Aldermen, Mayoress and Past Mayoress and Mayoral Consorts gather together for a quarterly social luncheon, which also serves as a way of updating current and Past leading citizens of whom are Sussex based with the latest ideas, news, opportunities for development, projects and charitable activities with the ethos being to continue to add value to our Sussex based communities.

At this latest luncheon held at Dyke Golf Club located in the vicinity of the Sussex National Park, Royal Voluntary Service UK Platinum Champion Lord Brett McLean was invited to attend.

Brett said " It was a wonderful and positive event, being in the room with so many generations of Mayoralty from across Sussex was both a privilege and a pleasure, to hear about different ways in which members had helped to develop their communities when in office and continue to add value to their areas as Past Mayors was truly commendable.

Joining the group today were the current Mayors of Polegate and Brighton & Hove.
